Start the week with some Amritsari Maachi

Are you ready for your taste buds to get a treat? This Amritsari Maachi is delivers the most fabulous flavours from basic spices!
Ingredients
Fish marinade:-
550 g white fish (tilapia) cut into 2 inch pieces.
30 g garlic paste
30 g ginger paste
10 g salt
5 g Ajwain seeds
40 ml lemon juice
10 g coriander chopped
For the batter:-
100 g besan - gram flour
50 g plain flour
50 g fine semolina
1 Egg
50 g green chilli paste
50 g garlic paste
50 g ginger paste
5 g katsuri methi
15 g Ajwain seeds
7g Kashmiri chilli powder
20 g salt
20 g chopped coriander
Method.
Cut the pieces of fish with a slant cut. Mix the garlic ginger and chilli paste , salt, lemon juice, ajwain seeds and finely chopped coriander to the fish and marinate for around 30 minutes.
Heat the oil in a fryer or a deep saucepan. Mix all the ingredients of the batter and slowly add water to form a custard type consistency of batter.
Dip the fish into the batter and fry the fish for 2-4 minute or until the batter is crispy.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
